State of California offers a number of programs to low-moderate income first time homebuyers. CalHFA offers subsidized interest rates as well as a number of secondary loans with interest and principal deferred. CalHFA California Home Source, which is a lease-buy program, provides help for first time homebuyers who may not qualify for other programs.
